This is for something that I’m writing:
Let’s say that a man (21+ y.o.) has ‘amnesia’: His language capabilities are intact, he can still win a game of Trivia, can operate a computer and play the piano – BUT his episodic memory is gone for good. He doesn’t know who he is, has absolutely no recollection of any previous experiences, events or people. 100% clean slate. Many people say that it’s the experience the shapes the person – what you’ve been through throughout your life has made you into what you are.
According to this, once that man suffers said amnesia, he’s reduced, in many ways, to an infant. Would you consider that person to be an adult? Would you allow him to vote, drink alcohol, have sex?

Title: Before the Fall

Note: This is a post CoE curtains!fic that follows my fix-it fic Get Your Bearings, which you should read before this one if you want to know how things got to where they are.
Summary: When Ianto goes missing under suspicious circumstances, Jack discovers that the path to finding him goes through his lover’s mysterious past. The truths he uncovers, however, may end up destroying both of them. (Dramatic, eh?) Takes place a few months after Get Your Bearings.

So what do I do when my writing muse leaves and refuses to come back? I re-read my old stuff, realize it's all crap and start to revise.
In the case of With Respect, I ended up with a completely different story. Did you miss the original version? Lucky you! (seriously). It's now gone forever, and not a moment too soon.
Also, made some revisions to In a Manner of Speaking, but nothing that drastic.
Fortunately, after a bad couple of months, muse is slowly returning. Expect porn by the end of the week.
